How to Juice a Pineapple Industrially in China?

Pineapple juice is popular for its refreshing taste and tropical aroma, but industrial production requires careful handling to maintain quality and avoid contamination. In China, pineapple juice processing lines are designed to maximize yield while preserving flavor and nutritional value.

The process begins with sorting and grading fresh pineapples. Fruits that are overripe, damaged, or moldy are removed. Proper selection ensures consistent juice quality and reduces processing waste.

Next is washing, where pineapples are cleaned using high-pressure spray systems or bubble washers. This removes dirt, pesticides, and microorganisms from the fruit surface. Clean raw materials are essential for food safety and product quality.

After washing, pineapples are sent to the peeling and cutting stage. Industrial peeling machines remove the tough outer skin while minimizing pulp loss. The fruit is then cut into smaller pieces to facilitate juice extraction.

Pineapple juice is prone to enzymatic changes, so heat treatment is applied to inactivate enzymes and stabilize the product. Pasteurization also ensures microbial safety.

In some cases, juice is concentrated using vacuum evaporation, which removes water at low temperatures while preserving aroma. This is especially useful for export and long-distance transportation.

Finally, the juice is filled and packaged using hot-fill or aseptic filling systems. Packaging options include bottles, cartons, and flexible pouches.
