Concentrated juice is a 100% juice product made from concentrated juice and water; while apple juice is squeezed from fresh raw fruit after washing, and canned directly after instant sterilization (without concentration and recovery), which is what consumers usually understand as “freshly squeezed juice”.
- Production method
Apple juice is squeezed from fresh apples and made through filtering, sterilization, bottling and other procedures. Concentrated apple juice is made by evaporating part of the water after squeezing apple juice and concentrating it.
- Taste
Apple juice tastes fresh, refreshing, natural, lively, transparent, and has a fresh apple fragrance. Concentrated apple juice is usually sweeter, has a stronger taste, and is darker in color. Some concentrated apple juices also add some taste improvers to improve the taste.
- Nutritional content
Although apple juice and concentrated apple juice are both made from apples, their nutritional content is also different. When apple juice is squeezed, some nutrients may be filtered out, and in the production process of concentrated apple juice, some sugar may be extracted, so its sugar content is higher than that of apple juice, but the content of other nutrients is reduced.
- Storage time
Because concentrated apple juice contains higher sugar and concentration, it can be stored for a longer time and does not need to be refrigerated. As for apple juice, due to its higher water content, it can be stored for a shorter time. Once opened, it needs to be consumed as soon as possible and needs to be stored in a refrigerated environment to extend the shelf life.
